We are the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question, contact us at elena@luxevoyage.mu.
Information we collect
We collect personal data that you provide to us and data generated when you use our site:
- Contact & enquiry details — your name, email address, subject and message when you use our contact form, and any information you send us about a booking request.
- Business & booking data — the details of the travel agent or tour operator you represent, and the guest information (names, travel dates, room and service requirements) needed to process a hotel booking.
- Technical & usage data — IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide quotes, rates and booking support;
- process and administer hotel bookings and related ground services for your guests;
- arrange airport meet-and-greet, transfers and in-resort assistance;
- manage our relationship with you and send service-related communications;
- operate, secure and improve our website; and
- comply with our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
Legal basis for processing
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the following bases: performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one); our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business as a destination management company; your consent (for example for non-essential cookies), which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with a legal obligation. We process personal data in accordance with the Mauritian Data Protection Act 2017 and, where relevant, the GDPR.
Sharing your information
We share personal data only where necessary to deliver our services, with:
- the hotels, resorts and ground service providers (drivers, guides, airport representatives) involved in fulfilling a booking;
- trusted service providers that support our operations (IT, hosting and communication tools), under appropriate confidentiality obligations; and
- authorities or advisers where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Because we coordinate travel across Mauritius, Seychelles, Zanzibar and Tanzania and work with partners in Europe, the C.I.S. countries and the Middle-East, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to meet the length of a booking relationship and any legal, tax or accounting requirements. Contact-form submissions are retained so that no enquiry or lead is lost, and are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at elena@luxevoyage.mu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius or your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to keep our systems up to date.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and any material changes will be posted on this page.
