A clifftop hideaway for two
Zawadi sits on a low coral cliff above a secluded stretch of Zanzibar's south-east coast, in Michamvi, about an hour's drive from the airport on a good tarmac road. The family who built it trained at Cornell and run it themselves, with just twelve villas and a minimum guest age of sixteen.
Days move at their own pace: a private plunge pool, a reef close enough to snorkel from the beach, and an all-inclusive plan that covers meals and house drinks throughout the stay. The whole property can also be taken as a single buy-out for a wedding or a private group.
