Velaa Private Island occupies its own coral island in Noonu Atoll, a 45-minute seaplane flight north of Malé. Every villa, house and residence here comes with its own pool, from the entry-level Sunrise Water Pool Villa on stilts above the lagoon to the four 1,324 m² private residences set along the beach.
The island keeps its own golf academy, designed by José María Olazábal, and a spa with the Maldives' only snow room. Families are looked after by a certified kids' club, and couples can take the whole island for a private celebration, or simply let the days run together.
