Seven villas, one private beach
The Palms Zanzibar sits on Bwejuu, on the island's south-east coast, a short walk along the sand from its sister resort Baraza. Just seven villas make up the whole property, each over 140 square metres, with a bedroom, living room, dressing room, a second en-suite room, and a private plunge pool behind its own terrace.
The same family has run the resort for over twenty-five years, and it shows in details rarely seen at this scale: hand-carved Zanzibari plasterwork on every villa, furniture made by local artisans, and a Taarab band that still plays music once heard at the Sultan's court. Adults-only and all-inclusive, it suits couples wanting a small, quiet finish to a Tanzania itinerary.
