Six Senses Laamu

The only resort on Laamu Atoll, with a house reef at the door, overwater villas, and the Maldives' famous Yin Yang surf break close by.

The only resort on Laamu Atoll

Six Senses Laamu sits on Olhuveli Island, the only five-star resort in the Laamu Atoll, reached by a scenic 65-minute seaplane flight south from Malé. Ninety-four beachfront and overwater villas are built from local, sustainable materials and spread along one of the Maldives' largest overwater walkways, with a house reef close enough to snorkel before breakfast.

The resort's Sea Hub of Environmental Learning is home to the Maldives Underwater Initiative, run with three partner NGOs on turtle and coral conservation. A short boat ride away, the Yin Yang break draws surfers from May to September, while seven restaurants and a six-metre glass wine cellar keep the rest of the day just as occupied.
