Two islands, one quiet shore
Shangri-La Le Touessrok sits on the shore at Trou d'Eau Douce, on Mauritius' quieter east coast, where a shallow lagoon runs out to the reef. Rooms and suites are set among the mainland gardens and across Frangipani, a private islet reached by footbridge, with its own beach and an adults-only pool.
A short boat ride away is Ilot Mangénie, the resort's own island, kept for long lunches and sand-butler service. Golfers cross by boat too, to the Bernhard Langer course on Ile aux Cerfs. Five restaurants, a spa built around island ritual, and one of the larger kids' clubs on Mauritius round out the days on shore.
