SOUTH ARI ATOLL · FIVE STARS

V Villas Maldives at Mirihi - MGallery Collection

A single coral island in South Ari Atoll, remade by MGallery with 42 villas, an overwater restaurant and a house reef that draws whale sharks and manta rays year-round.

One island, quietly remade

Mirihi is barely 350 metres long, a single coral island in the South Ari Atoll reached by a 25-minute seaplane flight from Malé. The island keeps just 42 villas along its beach and out over the lagoon, with the house reef never more than a few strokes from any front door.

Long known as a quiet, barefoot-luxury address, the island reopened in early 2026 as V Villas Maldives at Mirihi under Accor's MGallery Collection, its villas redesigned by Studio Gronda around the theme of the Mirihi flower. Muraka, the overwater restaurant, and a 6km house reef busy with turtles, manta rays and whale sharks remain the reasons guests return.
