LUX* Grand Gaube sits on a peninsula bordering two coves on Mauritius' north coast, a ten-minute drive from Grand Baie and close to the fishing village that gives the resort its name. Kelly Hoppen redesigned the property with Mauritian architect Jean-François Adam, setting 186 suites and villas in tropical gardens around two calm, sheltered beaches and a pair of swimming pools.
Restaurants run from Peruvian tasting plates at INTI to an overwater Turkish dining room at Bodrum Blue, and grown-ups can slip away to Beneath the Banyan, a quieter corner of the resort built around a century-old tree.
