InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort occupies a private island in Raa Atoll, a 35-minute seaplane flight from Malé. The lagoon that rings the island is unusually large, and from December to April it draws juvenile manta rays in to feed, a discovery that led the resort to base a Manta Trust research team here in 2019.
