Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island sits alone on a six-kilometre coral island in the Outer Amirantes, reached by a 35-minute flight from Mahé. Fourteen kilometres of white-sand beach ring the island, and a bicycle is the easiest way to cross it.
The resort opened in 2018 on the site of a former coconut plantation, and its low-rise villas keep a vintage, expedition-era character throughout. Every villa and suite has its own pool, garden and direct beach access, and the island's tortoise sanctuary and surrounding reefs give guests as much to do as its restaurants and spa.
