Constance Prince Maurice sits on the northeast coast at Poste de Flacq, where a sheltered lagoon and the mangrove-lined Barachois give the resort two very different stretches of water to look out on. The beach runs long and quiet, backed by gardens that keep each villa and suite private from its neighbours.
Guests reach Le Barachois, Mauritius' only floating restaurant, along a lantern-lit pontoon through the mangroves, and the resort's cellar holds more than 25,000 bottles, the largest wine collection in the Indian Ocean. Two championship courses lie five minutes away at sister property Constance Belle Mare Plage, with a shuttle laid on for guests who want to play.
