Constance Belle Mare Plage sits on Mauritius' east coast at Belle Mare, where a reef-protected lagoon runs the length of a two-kilometre white-sand beach. Fifteen hectares of tropical gardens link low, thatched-roof pavilions, none taller than three floors, so every room and suite faces the Indian Ocean.
The resort's two 18-hole courses, Legend and Links, spread over a further 140 hectares behind the beach and have hosted European Tour events. Eight restaurants, a Sisley spa, and a children's club named for the coconut palms that shade the grounds fill the rest of the day.
