Coco Bodu Hithi sits in North Malé Atoll, a 35-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport. The house reef wraps almost the entire island, drawing hawksbill turtles, reef fish and the occasional manta ray within a few strokes of the shore.
All 98 villas carry a private pool, from the overwater Water Villas above the lagoon to the garden-set Island Villas among the greenery. Four restaurants and an overwater spa fill the rest of the day, with nurse sharks a regular sight for anyone who wanders out to the reef edge at dusk.
