Baystone sits directly on the beach at Pointe aux Canonniers, on the calmer, northern side of Grand Baie. The hotel is built around a single motif: the sea. Balconies curve like waves along the façade, floors are patterned to recall the sand outside, and the lighting throughout is kept deliberately indirect.
Twenty-three rooms and suites are arranged across low-rise wings, each looking either over the lagoon or into the gardens behind. Two restaurants, a small spa with a hammam and hydrotherapy baths, and a rooftop solarium keep the property compact rather than sprawling — closer in scale to a private villa than a resort.
