Ayada Maldives sits on Maguhdhuvaa Island, on the southern rim of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, reached by a 55-minute domestic flight from Malé followed by a speedboat crossing of around 25 to 50 minutes. The distance keeps this stretch of the atoll quieter than the resorts closer to the capital, with a house reef that starts a few strokes from several of the beach villas.
Eleven villa and suite categories run from garden rooms to a two-storey Royal Ocean Suite on the jetty's edge, and eight restaurants cover everything from a Japanese teppanyaki grill to a Turkish coffee lounge. AySpa, an eight-pavilion spa built around its own hammam, and the Zuzuu Kids Club round out a resort built for a full stay rather than a stopover.
