A private island, above and below the water
Anantara Kihavah occupies its own island in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, twenty minutes by speedboat from Hanifaru Bay, where manta rays gather in their hundreds each season. A house reef wraps the shoreline, close enough to reach on foot from most villas.
Eighty villas and residences sit either on the beach or over the lagoon, each with its own pool. Dinner can be taken several metres under the surface at SEA, and after dark the island's observatory turns its telescope on a sky largely free of light pollution.
