Catamaran sailing on the turquoise east-coast lagoon of Mauritius
ON THE WATER · FULL DAY

Catamaran to Île aux Cerfs

A private day under sail across the east-coast lagoon, with a barbecue on a near-empty island.

A full day on the lagoon

The east-coast lagoon is the widest and calmest in Mauritius, a sheet of turquoise held back by a distant reef. You sail it on a private catamaran, only your party aboard, with a crew who know every sandbank and snorkelling spot.

The day builds around a barbecue lunch on Île aux Cerfs, a low green island ringed with white sand. There is time to swim, snorkel the reef, or do nothing at all while the crew tends the grill.
